Tantric Philosophy for Modern Life with Michelle Nayeli Bouvier (E-RYT 500, C-IATY)

The roots of embodied yoga practice find their source in Classical Tantra, an ancient philosophy that continues to speak to these current times. Tantra is a view of the world, and of existence itself, that can bring great presence and freedom into our daily lives. This thousand-year-old tradition, though often misunderstood in modern times, was radical in its inclusivity and the way it embraced embodiment as part of the path of living yoga. Tantra emphasizes the connectedness of all and the flow of energy & consciousness, and offers tools to help us turn our experiences into growth, service, and wisdom.

In this workshop with Michelle Nayeli Bouvier (E-RYT 500, C-IATY), we will investigate:

·        The non-dual philosophy of Classical Tantra
·        Tantric cosmology / map of creation
·        The teaching of the 5 Acts of Shiva
·        The Tantric view of the nature of reality
·        Spanda teachings (vibration)
·        How these teachings can support our modern lives, personally & collectively
