Advanced Anatomy: Preventing and Working with Common Injuries and Varying Body Types

15 HOURS (12 IN CLASS + 3 INDEPENDENT)

This module offers a more nuanced and complex look at anatomy and movement in the context of yoga asana and injury prevention. We focus on recognizing common issues that stem from the patterns of modern life and how to adapt asana to meet these needs. You’ll learn more about guiding practices that are safe and accessible for all, and expand your toolkit of creative adaptations, modifications, and variations for all bodies. We’ll investigate variation in the human form, and ways to empower students’ own agency in refining their own experience of asana and vinyasa.
